How to Thrift
What is a thrifter you say? A thrifter is a person who goes to multiple second hand or vinatge stores looking for bargain,treasures and unusual items to buy at a very discounted price which is known as thrifting. As a thrifter myself, I can teach a beginner on how to pick on how she/he can make their thrifting experience an enjoyable one.
When it comes to thrifting its all about locations. A good thrifter knows the best second hand stores are in communities that have a high upper class population. An upper class community tends to donate alot of items that are highly priced and valuable or items that are new or fairly used. Another, tip for finding a second hand store in good locations is cities. Cities with a high population have more second hand stores which gives thrifters more places to find bargains.
A good thrifter knows where the bargains are. When it comes to thrifting, it is important to know the second hand stores you visit have sales or promotions. Some second hand stores have their own newsletter and if you sign up for them you get to know first hand when their are new bargains.A second tip to know when there are sales is becoming a regular. By visiting a second hand store more frequently you can get an idea when certain items go on sale
Lastly, a good thrifter takes his/her time. Yes, most second hand stores have one of a kind items but, by taking your time looking through everything the store has to offer you may find something you're interested in. Take your time visiting other second hand stores and look what they have. Al second hand stores are different;you will never what your going to find.
Becoming a thrifter does not happen over night. It takes a bit of practice to become a thrifter. By knowing about a good location, knowing the bargains and taking your time to know different stores your thrifting skills will in fact improve.Remember these skills and you will have a wonderful time thrifting.
